At our Algarve Cave Excursions Program we show you the most beautiful beaches and caves along the Algarve coast. Comfortable seats can be found on the covered middle deck, or on the top and sun deck where you can enjoy a wonderful view. At the beginning of the trip, you will receive all information on safety on board in English. Our bar on thesun deck offers you food, drinks and nice souvenirs. The “Rivolé” complies with all EU safety and insurance regulations. Modernly equipped sanitary facilities, such as changing rooms and barrier-free toilets are at your disposal.

Tour 1: Cave visit

In the morning, the sea is particularly quiet, ideal conditions for an unforgettable visit to the caves. Our journey begins in the historical river port of Rio Arade in Portimão. We follow the Rio Arade downstream past the fishing village of Ferragudo and two medieval castles to the Atlantic. From here we take course south-east, past the lighthouse of Ferragudo, the beach of Caneiros, the Roman tower and the smugglers cave. Along the Carvoeiro cliff with the rock formations of Algar Seco, the Praia Vale de Centianes to the Alfanzina lighthouse, along the beaches of Carvalho, Benagil, Praia da Marinha and Armação de Pêra, there are the most and the largest and deepest caves of the Algarve. With our cave boats, equipped with engines and life vests, you will explore at least 8 of these fascinating rock caves. Through narrow or wide entrances, you enter dark and colourful gleaming dome like vaults.
Tour 2A: Caves of Carvoeiro

Portimão, Carvoeiro, Praia da Marinha, Portimão
Our journey begins in Portimão with a course to the south-east. We drive along the coast as described in Tour 1 to the lighthouse of Alfanzina. Here we anchor and you will change over to our cave boats to start the excursion of the caves. After the cave excursions we move on direction Praia da Marinha where we anchor again and you have the opportunity to have a refreshing dip in the Atlantic. From here we return along near the wonderful cliffs, hidden beaches and the mysterious caves of the Algarve coast, back to the port of Portimão.
Tour 2B: Caves of Lagos

Our journey begins in the port of Portimão into the Atlantic, we head west, along the Praia da Rocha, Praia do Vau, Praia de Alvor, Meia Praia all the way to Lagos, where Vasco da Gama started his discoveries.
Ifg the sea is quite we’ll anchor. Here you take a dip in the clear water and visit the caves of Ponta da Piedade. After this brake we drive back through the bay of Lagos to the home port of the Rivolé. On this tour is a good possibility that dolphins follow us.
Tour 3: Day Trip
Su. 10.30 – 16.30 hour
Portimão, Lagos, Alvor, Portimão
Experience a day full of adventure. We leave the Rio Arade and follow the coast in direction of Carvoeiro passing the lighthouse Alfanzina on our way to Benagil. Here we anchor the Rivolé, you descend to the dinghies and we’ll visit some of the most beautiful caves in the Algarve. Coming back from visit of the caves, a traditional Portuguese BBQ of high and fresh quality awaits you on board. Consisting of grilled sardines, chicken piri-piri, meat skewers, with wood oven bread, herb potatoes mixed salad, wine, water and mixed fruit for dessert. Chilling, swimming and sunbathing on the deck round off the stay before we light the anchor again.
